The second story frame is up and the roof is almost up. The pieces are coming together. Josh went to the house today and took a lot of pictures. Take a look at the photo album! Stay tuned for our video walk-through when Josh gives you a detailed tour of the house!

Josh visited our house today and took a lot of pictures. He was told that the second story frame would be done on Monday.

Today the first floor of our frame was put together... funny thing is how many people knew before we did. Kristen texted me this morning and said that she couldn't take a picture because her phone was being dumb... Bobbi's dad drove by and let her know about it and she didn't text me... and Mike (the foreman) called Josh and let him know about it. So much silliness and we feel so grateful that so many people are looking out for us! Thank you all!

So today we got word that we now have a slab of concrete. So now we can officially say we have the beginnings of a house!

So Bobbi Jo and I hung out on Saturday... our first stop was the post office where the teller commented on how lovely my necklace was. She then proceeded to ask if my necklace was the rainbow?... Bobbi piped up with, "No not that rainbow.." and the teller said, "oh ok, I just wasn't sure if you two were together, but that would be really nice for them..." Classic...

Today we met with Mike from KB homes who is the project manager. We now have a time-line for how long it will take for our house to be built. Right now they are estimating that we will close on April 16th!... Very soon! After we reviewed everything with him, we went and looked at the property again and he gave us some ideas of what they would be doing visually. After we met with him, we found out that they started the construction already!.. Thanks Kristen!

On 1/19/10 KB Homes started working on our house. First step: drainage.... next step the world!... or the foundation one of the two. Check out our photo album gallery: drainage.

Yesterday we went to the design center to finalize everything. We are both really happy with our choices. Check out our cool pictures that we took while there.

Today we went down to the design center and finalized everything. We picked out some really great stuff... really dark cabinets, beautiful off-white counters, and tile to tie it together. SO now they'll be starting to build the house soon!! YAY!
